Why did you get into fitness?

I came from a very unhealthy lifestyle full of anxiety and depression road blocks and dead ends. Metcons were the only thing that had made me feel better. After a long road to recovery from this terrible disorder I gained complete control of my mental and physical wellbeing through the practices of CrossFit. I thought to myself I have to help others find this.

Why did you get into fitness (and CrossFit)?

I spent five and a half years in the military and that demanded a certain level of fitness. Just before I got out I had become bored with the typical “globo-gym” workouts I had been doing for years. I stumbled upon an affiliate where I was living at the time and I’ve been hooked on CrossFit ever since.

Why did you become a trainer?

I’ve always had the desire to help others in whatever way that I can. I want to share the benefits that CrossFit and the various associated communities have to offer. Good health and positive vibes are some of the best things that you can provide to people and I love that I get to be part of that every day.

Why did you get into fitness (and CrossFit)?

I had been overweight for most of my life. After my dad died I took to running as a coping mechanism. It with Weight Watchers helped me lose about 40 pounds. After about 6 months of maintenance I slowly starting adding the pounds back on. One day when on a jog I ran by my current gym and decided since it was only 3 blocks from my house I should give it a try. After the first session I was hooked! I’ve been a member for about 1.5 years now.

Why did you become a trainer?

I signed up to take the Level 1 cert more for myself. To learn more about this “cult” I fell in love with! After completing the course I thought about it for a couple months and decided to see if coaching could be my thing or not. now it has become a way to constantly help those become the best version of themselves, myself included.

What year did you start Training?

I started drinking the CrossFit Kool-Aid in 2010.

Why did you get into fitness?

I was really fit in high school with football, baseball, and track. Then in college, I just barely stayed in some kind of “shape” being on the Tech Wakeboarding team and occasionally doing bro-curls different Globo-gyms. But I really got into CrossFit after graduating college when I fractured my neck snowboarding. I lost a lot of weight and was unhappy with the way I looked, so I decided to take the plunge and make a change.

Why did you become a trainer?

A coach from one of my previous gyms was a real inspiration. Every morning at 5 am, he motivated me to become a better athlete, a better example, and leader to the CrossFit community around me. He inspired me to have the thirst for knowledge of what I was doing so that I could show others that achieving a healthy and active lifestyle is something to work for, and not some pie in the sky dream.

What’s your favorite movement?

Muscle-Ups

What is your favorite cheat food?

Chocolate Chip Cookies… or Ice Cream… or Doughnuts…

What’s your favorite Superhero and why?┬áHan Solo.

Han Solo. Because he’s a pirate, a freelancer, and answers to nobody else, but has a good heart when oppression of others is apparent. Plus he has an awesome companion, Chewbacca.
